Michael Berclaz

Michael is a British and Swiss citizen, residing in Switzerland, ACAD+ 2025 (Senior Boardmember training), holder of a Master’s degree in Swiss law (MLaws), a CAS in Compliance Management from the University of Geneva, a Diploma in Risk Management, as well as several certificates related to compliance. He has over 20 years of experience in the Compliance and Risk Management sector.

He held the position of Group Chief Compliance Officer at a Swiss private bank with international branches for several years, as well as roles as a Senior Officer and Compliance Project Manager at major banking institutions in Switzerland, Monaco, Luxembourg, Portugal, and France (Paris), such as Lloyds TSB, ABN Amro, BNP Paribas, Société Générale, and EFG Bank.

In 2018, he founded the company Berclaz & Associates in Switzerland, which has since been managing the licensing, compliance maintenance, and risk management of over seventy wealth management companies.

He is passionate about Governance, AML and Remediation work, Economic Sanctions, and Individual Taxation.
He enjoys an excellent reputation in the market, with numerous recommendations available upon request in addition to those publicly available on LinkedIn.
